Named for my eldest daughter Ella, after whom I proudly named my small sailing yacht the 'Lady Ella'. My wife, Angela, gave birth to my second daughter, Karla, and the yacht was re-christened 'Lady Karella'. When my third daughter, Laura, appeared on the scene the yacht had another renaming ceremony and its name was changed to 'La Karella'. There were now too many of us in the family to sleep on the small boat, and so it was sold and a touring caravan was purchased to replace it at weekends. We never got around to giving the caravan a name!References
