Mrs Marcelle Sheppard |
On 4 July 2005, Mrs Marcelle Sheppard visited her best friend Mrs Margie Brown, and between them they decided on names for two of Mrs Sheppard's recent canna hybrids. The first is green leafed, with long scapes of orange blossoms, practically ever-blooming, and this will be called Canna 'Orange County, Texas'. This is in recognition of Marcelles'own home county, and the second which has good red foliage, with red flowers is to be named Canna 'Zulu Best Friends'. The latter name is in recognition of their own long and trusted friendship.
