Canna 'Flaméche' is a Miniature Group cultivar; green foliage, small, ovoid shaped, acute apex, branching habit; round main stems, coloured green; half-round flower stalks, coloured green; flowers are cupped, self-coloured deep tangerine, staminodes are medium size, edges irregular, labellum is yellow speckled with orange, stamen is yellow, style is red, petals purple with farina, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules round; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is average.
