Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France in 2011, Canna 'Suffusion' is a medium sized Premier Group cultivar; green and purple variegated foliage, ovoid shaped, acute apex, maroon margin, branching habit; half-round main stems, coloured green + purple; oval flower stalks, coloured green + purple; clusters of flowers are open, apricot with a watermelon pink blush, staminodes are large, edges irregular, stamen is gold, style is gold streaked with apricot, petals green, fully self-cleaning, good bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white and pink; tillering is average.

Canna 'Suffusion' is available from specialist growers; breeding is Canna 'Theresa Blakey' x C. 'Ombersley'.
