Canna 'Yellow Leopard' is a miniature cultivar; dark green foliage, oval shaped, acute apex, spreading habit; oval main stems, coloured green + purple; round flower stalks, coloured green; clusters of flowers are open, lemon speckled with maroon, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, petals green, fully self-cleaning, low bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured white; tillering is slow.
