Introduced by Thor Dalebø of Normandy, France in 2006, Canna 'Ombersley' is a medium sized Premier Group cultivar; green foliage, oval shaped, acute apex, transparent margin, branching habit; triangular main stems, coloured green; oval flower stalks, coloured green; flowers are cupped, orange tinged with red, staminodes are medium size, edges regular, petals red with farina, fully self-cleaning, outstanding bloomer, flowers in early summer until frosts, blooms open in the early morning; fertile both ways, not self-pollinating or true to type, capsules globose; rhizomes are thick, up to 3 cm in diameter, coloured pink and purple; tillering is average.

Ombersley is a village and civil parish in Wychavon district, in the county of Worcestershire, England. The parish includes the hamlet of Holt Fleet, where Thomas Telford's 1828 Holt Fleet Bridge crosses the River Severn.
